FINAL STOP MYRTLE BEACH SC.... We stayed at the Beautiful Myrtle Beach KOA--koa.com/campgrounds/myrtle-beach/ on 5th street only 2 blocks from the beach and the Grand Strip where all the shops and restaurants are located. As you may guess many stores and restaurants were not open because of the time of year but there was no shortage of things to see or do. Had a wonderful time. Wish the weather was nicer. When we arrived set up day was sunny in 70's but the rest of the week was cool and overcast , no sun :( and then of course the day we leave it's 66, humid and sun felt wonderful. The pool stayed open in Nov. despite we were going through an unusual cold spell. I like KOA, a bit more expensive then a state run park/campground but they are clean, have activities for the kids, dog park for the fur kids, bathhouses ( nice and clean) laundry facilities to catch up on having clean clothes for the next leg of the journey, nicely stocked camp store and plenty of places to walk. Not all sites have the fire ring out but they will deliver one to your site if you ask no charge. Had an awesome time and would give this campground an AGAIN RATING. Hope to go back again and explore more.

www.crabbymikes.com and strolled the Boardwalk which by the way NJ has Myrtle beach boardwalks beat! Awesome strolling boardwalks in NJ huge and long...Myrtle Beach has more beach and stores/restaurants then the Jersey shore but we have them beat where boardwalks are concerned for biking and strolling.
